The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation is a granting foundation continuing a tradition of giving, focused in its home of Waterloo Region, supporting health, education and children’s initiatives that inspire and grow individual and community potential.
Lyle Hallman was a generous philanthropist who during the course of his lifetime (1922-2003) worked to make a lasting difference in the lives of the people of his home community of Waterloo Region. His strong commitment to education, health and children is reflected in the mission of the Foundation.
In July 2011 the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation presented St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation with a donation of $250,000. This donation was earmarked for renewal of the Regional Cardiac Care Centre which celebrated it’s tenth anniversary that year. At the forefront of the cardiac program is the top-ranked cardiac catheterization and angioplasty program. A new cardiac catheterization x-ray camera was needed in order to diagnose heart disease and repair blocked arteries using stents. The cath camera is truly one of the most critical diagnostic pieces of equipment that the Cardiac Care team uses and the fulfilling need for a new one is top priority.
