Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532 donates $4,000 to SMGHF from annual Poppy Campaign

Thank you to the New Hamburg Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532 for their generous donation of $4,000 in support of local healthcare at WRHN @ Queen's Blvd, raised through their annual Poppy Campaign.
This gift will support the purchase of six bedside chairs and two bariatric chairs for the medical and chest units, enhancing comfort and care for WRHN patients.

The Royal Canadian Legion is a non-profit, member-based organization in Canada dedicated to supporting veterans, military personnel, and their families. It's known for organizing Remembrance Day ceremonies and selling poppies to raise funds for veteran support. The Legion also advocates for veteran benefits and provides services like peer support and local community support.
About the Poppy Campaign
Each year, for two weeks before Remembrance Day, Legions throughout Ontario carry out the Poppy Campaign, raising funds to help provide immediate assistance to ex-servicemen and women in need. This may include food shelter or medical attention for them or their families.
