St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the full range of priorities across the newly merged Waterloo Regional Health Network, which includes care sites at Midtown, Chicopee, Queen’s Boulevard, and satellite locations throughout the region.

🌟 Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Manage and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects, with a focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Support annual giving programs, donor appeals, and fundraising campaigns.
- Develop compelling cases for support, proposals, and impact reports that align with donor passions and interests.
Event & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain authentic relationships with event participants, sponsors, volunteers, and community members by being present, engaged, and approachable.
- Actively represent the hospital and Foundation at community events and across all levels of donor interaction—serving as a trusted ambassador who fosters connection, trust, and generosity.
Donor Data & Strategy
- Maintain accurate and timely donor records using Raiser’s Edge.
- Track and report on fundraising progress, aligning activities with strategic goals.
Collaboration & Culture
- Collaborate across teams including communications, finance, operations, and hospital departments.
- Embrace a culture of philanthropy, creativity, and accountability - always bringing ideas forward.
🙌 What We’re Looking For

- Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising or relationship management, sales or business development (healthcare or nonprofit preferred).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and rapport.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and self-motivated.
- Proficient with Raiser’s Edge or a comparable donor database or CRM and comfortable with digital tools.
- A deep sense of purpose, integrity, and community commitment.
💡 Bonus Points For
- Progress toward or completion of CFRE certification.
- Experience in a hospital or health-related foundation setting.
- A portfolio that demonstrates creativity in fundraising, events, or donor storytelling.

- Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience and success.
- Vacation: 4 weeks vacation plus 4 summer wellness days and additional float days.
